City High School is a school of 1700 students located in Iowa City, Iowa. City High has a long tradition of academic, music, and athletic excellence. City High honors 15 National Merit Scholars annually and has produced 211 Conference titles since 1987, 10 Hall of Fame Athletes, 28 Conference All-Sports Titles, and an amazing 58 state championships in 10 different sports! City High has also distinguished itself as being the only school in Iowa history to win both the boys and girls Track and Field titles in the same year......FOUR TIMES!

City High is a member of the very competitive Mississippi Valley Conference in Eastern Iowa. The Conference has Fifteen teams from the Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, Dubuque and Cedar Falls/Waterloo areas. Along with Iowa City, City High, the other teams that form the MVC are Iowa City West, Iowa City Liberty, Cedar Rapids Prairie, Cedar Rapids Jefferson, Cedar Rapids Washington, Cedar Rapids Kennedy, Linn Mar, Cedar Rapids Xavier, Cedar Falls, Waterloo West, Dubuque Wahlert, Dubuque Senior, Dubuque Hempstead, and Western Dubuque.
